September 28 and 29, 2012

 Sgt Bradley Atwell of Kokomo and SSgt Kyle Oborn of Lafayette
Luana Wetli,  President of the Blue Star Moms of Indiana from Monticello presented the Gold Star Banner to Sgt Atwell's mother during the Gold Star Presentation done by MaryJo Watson of the Blue Star Mothers of Kokomo. Sgt Bradley's Gold Presentation was done at the church that him and his wife attended.

Luana did the Gold Star Presentation for SSgt Osborn. During is presentation Gold Star Mother, Pam Mow, presented the Gold Star Banner to SSgt Osborn's father, MaryJo Watson, Blue to Gold Liaison of the Kokomo chapter, presented the Gold Star Banner to SSgt Osborn's mother, and Christina Ellis, Treasurer of the Blue Star Moms of Indiana, from Monticello, presented SSgt Osborn's wife with the Gold Star Banner. Luana present the brother and sister of SSgt Kyle Osborn each with a small teddy and the brass rank of their fallen brother. SSgt Osborn's Gold Presentation was done in private as requested by the family prior to the Memorial Service.

September 9, 2012 from 1 - 6pm the Monticello VFW Post #2231 at 503 N Third St is having a Hog Roast to benefit the Blue Star Moms
September 5, 2012 the AM Vets Ladies Auxiliary and the Sons of the AM Vets Post #91 presenting Luana Wetli a check for the Blue Star Moms to help with care packages and other needs of our troops and vets.

AUGUST 18, 2012 BREAKFAST AT THE MONITCELLO AMVETS FROM 8-11AM

Freedom Quilt

2012 Freedom Quilt Winner, Rob Pool in the middle, Luana Wetli on the left and Mary Smith on the right.

Quilt was made by Ruth Wasmuth, a Chapter member and Army Mom. The quilt was present to Rob on August 10th by Luana Wetli, Chapter President and Mary Smith, Chapter Vice President. The quilt helped raise donations to be used to send care packages to our deployed troops.

at the grilled butterfly pork shop diner.
Great food, great time, new friends while supporting our troops!!!!
The proceeds from this diner will help with the postage for care packages to our troops and the goodies to fill each box.
